''Wait up, Rose!''
''What? Oh, hey Daisy...''
''What's up? You look a little down today.''
The day crawled by extremely slowly- minutes passed like hours. Daisy knew enough not to provoke Rose, for although Rose had a gentle attitude she was very sensitive during hard times. For the whole day, Daisy kept thinking about Rose, and what she could have possibly done to trigger her bad mood.
''Hey, Daisy, hold on.'' said Rose, attracting her attention. ''Can we talk after school, please? And forgive me for this morning...'' she said, and then returned to her desk. The rest of the lesson passed considerably quicker and Daisy's spirits lifted at the thought of Rose's apology and whatever she had to tell her. What could it be?
'Hey there, Rose!'' called Daisy, spotting her vivid pink hair above the crowd.
''Daisy... what I'm going to tell you is actually really serious... it stressed me out since last night and I could hardly sleep...'' Rose confessed, anxiously peering around her.
Chapter 1:2
''What is it?'' asked Daisy, curiosity slowly overtaking her. She wanted to know, she wanted to know badly.
''It's hard to put into words- are you sure you want to hear this?'' questioned Rose, gazing with a meaningful look at Daisy.
''Of course I do! Otherwise I would have told you, Rose!'' repeated Daisy, wanting to know more desperately what it was that Rose had to say.
''I overheard Blueberry, you know how much she knows about our world. She's a very important angel and she often gets information from Lily, right? Well, I heard her say-'' started Rose, the story spinning out of her mouth like silk.
''Hey there, Daisy!'' a cheery voice cut off Rose's words. The two girls looked around and saw Marigold, the cheery angel who was always adorned in beautiful, vibrant, orange attire and owned a pair of shimmering amber eyes. Marigold grinned and waited for Rose or Daisy to respond.
''Umm... Marigold, we're...err... going to... my house and I can only have Rose over, sorry.'' explained Daisy, feeling regret for the lie she told. Marigold was a wonderful friend and Daisy felt terrible having to lie to her. Rose remained silent and watched the angels.
''Oh, umm, sorry then, girls. See you tomorrow?'' said Marigold, and the hurt in her eyes was so obvious that Daisy felt like admitting she lied. However, she remembered why she rejected Marigold in the first place, and kept her mouth firmly shut.
Marigold flew away the other way to her own house, and then Rose continued her story.
''Blueberry was talking to Blackberry, you know how close the two are. I mean, they're sisters, and they're both very important angels. Blueberry mentioned a horrible disagreement between the Angel and Devil sides- this time over Unity City. The Devils want to claim the city, and since it traditionally belongs to both sides, Lily said no to the Devils. Blueberry said there was a lot more to it, but she would tell her another time. Apparently, there's a war going on now, and soon, everyone will know...'' revealed Rose, taking care not to miss out the details. She paused to watch Daisy.
''But... that's terrible! Unity City... why Unity City out of all places? It's such an important part of our world... and now there's war...'' commented Daisy, thinking through everything said by Rose.
''Yes, but we're helpless, and we've got to rely on Lily and the older Angels to keep Unity City a city for both Angels and Devils.'' said Rose.
''Oh, don't say that! Of course we can do something! We can... we can fight! We can make a difference!'' disagreed Daisy, determined to do something about the conflict she has just found out about.
''Fight? You mean, with this?'' chuckled Rose, jokingly holding out her hand and allowing a small, pink glowing ball of energy to steadily float an inch above her palm.
''Listen, we aren't strong enough, as you just saw. There is no way we can do anything!'' she continued.
''Rose, you can develop your powers! You know we get classes at school, but we can also learn outside of school, and then we can grow stronger...'' said Daisy, disappointed about her friend's pessimistic attitude.
''Hmm... well, maybe you're right. Maybe we can. But by the time we learn, this war will be over!'' stated Rose, turning right and entering Berry Sweet Treats, the small café owned by Blueberry with help from Blackberry. Daisy followed her, and breathed in the familiar scent of freshly baked muffins and warm hot chocolate. She could not help smiling and allowing all her worries and doubts to dissolve into the safe, warm air. Daisy and Rose loved visiting the café daily, and on Friday they usually sat down and helped themselves to delicious meals to celebrate the end of the week.
''Hello there, girls! How was your week? Take a seat!'' Blueberry greeted them, smiling. Blueberry had a strong relationship with Daisy and Rose, and although Blueberry was twice their age they got on like close friends. Blueberry was a beautiful angel, with thick blue hair tied back, eyes that shone like freshly cut sapphires and mainly blue clothing with hints of pale green. Rose and Daisy scurried over to a table in the corner, with delightfully soft chairs. The scent of muffins and cakes lingered in the air, making both girls hungry.
Blueberry strode over to them, smiling.
''What would you both like?'' she asked, waiting for them to reply.
''Umm... I'd like a large triple chocolate muffin and a medium hot chocolate with marshmallows and chocolate powder please'' said Daisy, declaring her reward for getting through yet another school week. The 5th week. After such a long Summer break, Daisy already felt exhausted as if she has been at school for at least 26 weeks, not 5.
''One slice of red velvet with three chocolate chip cookies and a small hot chocolate, with whipped cream and chocolate powder please'' said Rose, her mouth watering at the mere thought of her lush dessert.
''Coming right up!'' replied Blueberry, grinning and returning to the kitchen of the café.
''Rose, how about we ask Blueberry about this war thing? It could put your mind at rest...'' suggested Daisy, talking in hushed tones.
''What, are you crazy? There's no way she would tell us, and I would get into trouble.'' replied Rose, shocked by the suggestion.
''Come on, we can make it really secret so she won't even know!'' begged Daisy.
''No.'' replied Rose, with a note of finality in her voice.
Not long passed until Blueberry returned with the orders. She was balancing them, as usual, using her powers, the dishes floating in the air with a dark blue glow around them. She let them down on the table, and smiled. The triple chocolate muffin was fragrant, large and dark, and the hot chocolate let off a warm, pleasant smell. The red velvet was bright, large and beautiful- it looked too good to eat. The cookies looked appetising, too.
''So, how was school?'' she asked.
''Oh , it was okay, tiring, as usual'' replied Rose anxiously.
''Hey, Blueberry? Can we go to Unity City tomorrow? '' asked Daisy. Rose glared at her, shocked.
''Oh, umm... tomorrow? Err... what for? '' asked Blueberry.
''Oh, there's this nice shop I wanted to check out...'' replied Daisy, confidently.
''What shop is it? Maybe we can find it somewhere else?'' said Blueberry anxiously.
''No... it's only in Unity City. Can we?'' asked Daisy.

Question- How will Blueberry respond? Will they find any more information about the conflict, or will Blueberry keep her mouth sealed?
I hope you enjoyed chapter 1:2! Again, I apologise about the length, but it's longer than 1:1, right?
Blueberry will be added to the Angels page.
Marigold will be added to the Angels page.
I still have to add Daisy to the Angels page, I know.
Have a fantastic day and stay safe!
